Selected Solo and Group Exhibitions
Land, Life and Legacy
Group exhibition
Queenscliff Gallery,
Queenscliff, VIC, 2024
An exhibition where the artists, Mark Dober, Trudy Rice and Kati Thamo, highlight the interdependence of land, life and the lasting legacy we leave behind. For this show, my suite of etchings focus on human/nature connections and how we need more empathy and understanding of the natural world to be able to re-balance the precarity of the current environmental situation.
Wingspan
Solo exhibition
Goods Shed,
Perth, WA, 2022
Encompassing ideas around flight in it’s many aspects, the works in this large solo exhibition are connected by the thread of migration, both bird and human. These works, ranging across printmaking, drawing, textiles and shadow projection, track the migration experience of my family in an approach that is more metaphoric than literal, pairing it with the wingspan of migratory birds that reaches across the world, from far north to far south.
Publication:
Produced to accompany the solo exhibition Wingspan - taking flight, taking shelter. Including essays by Andrew Nicholls, Mags Webster, and Anatol Pitt.
Digital copy viewable on TROVE.

Solo Exhibition
Beaver Galleries,
Canberra, ACT, 2019
The works in this show are gestures towards an intimate engagement with the natural world, recording my observations of, and interactions with birds, plants and animals. A close attention to nature may bring a shift of emphasis from a human centred view to other, more considered, ways of relating to the world around us. These works are a visual encouragement to step out of our habitual mode and view nature through another lens.
Bird in a Bell Jar
Solo Exhibition
Turner Galleries,
Perth, WA, 2019
This suite of etchings present a compendium of small ecologies held in glass containers or in the pages of books These small intricate environments suggest the complexity, vulnerability and current fragility of our natural world. The images are drawn from natural environments I’ve encountered and are intimate expressions of place, describing profusion and entanglement.
Running Deep
Group Exhibition
Fremantle Art Centre
Perth, WA, 2018
A joint exhibition with Holly Story and myself showing textiles, prints, video and installation, based around our shared experience of living with our families on a wilderness property in Walpole. The various works carry a strong imprint of the years of creative engagement with the forest and bushland of the Deep River locale, and reflect on the ecologies of place, of family and friendship.
Retold
Solo Exhibition
Beaver Galleries
Canberra, ACT , 2015
The work in this exhibition reflect on the imprinting of memory and story. Through these works I explore the various ways in which narratives unfold, how stories shift and change over time, forming new altered versions of the same tale. Referencing old engravings, embroidery and carved folk motifs I create my own version of the past.
Timelapse
Solo Exhibition
Turner Galleries
Perth, WA, 2014
Informed by a residency undertaken in Eastern Europe in 2010, the works in this show trace the roots of my family’s history in Hungary and Transylvania, and their displacement by war and it’s aftermath. Themes of the passing of time, the passing of place and the passing of people are reflected upon. The images are a meditiation on a fragmentary and disappearing world where the past is elusive and memories fade.
